Boštjan Nachbar z svojim klubom osvojil nemško prvenstvo
Košarkarji Brose Baskets iz Bamberga, za katerega igra tudi Slovenec Boštjan Nachbar, so konec tedna po zmagi tudi na tretji tekmi finalne serije osvojili naslov nemških prvakov. Bavarsko moštvo je še šestič osvojilo naslov košarkarskega prvaka Nemčije in četrtič zapored, nadaljnja usoda Nachbarja v klubu pa je pod v vprašajem.
Pri Brose Basketsu že sestavljajo ekipo za naslednjo sezono. Prvi na spisku želja je Anton Gavel, s katerim želijo predčasno podaljšati pogodbo, njegovo kakovost pa potrjuje tudi dejstvo, da je bil slednji izbran za MVP nemške lige. V Bambergu se bojijo, da bi 28-letni Gavel odšel k münchenskemu Bayernu, kjer ne skrivajo želje, da bi prevzeli tudi vodilno vlogo v nemški košarki. Bayern pa ima tudi močno mednarodno podporo in Bavarci odkrito pričakujejo wild card za ligo prvakov.

Nejasna pa je nadaljnja usoda Nachbarja v klubu. “To je odvisno od celotne slike, najprej finančno, potem pa tudi od siceršnje sestave ekipe,” je o usodi slovenskega košarkarja, ki se mu izteka pogodba, dejal Heyder. Ob Nachbarju se pogodba v klubu izteka še nekaterim kakovostnejšim košarkarjem.
V velikem finalu je bil Brose s 3:0 v zmagah boljši od Oldenburga. Na zadnji tekmi finala, ki so jo košarkarji iz Bamberga v nedeljo dobili po podaljšku z 91:88, se je izkazal tudi Nachbar, ki je bil z 20 točkami prvi strelec na odločilni tekmi.(sta)
