Mariborski župan Kangler ministru Golobiču napisal odprto pismo
Mariborski župan Franc Kangler je v pismu, ki ga je naslovil na visokošolskega ministra Gregorja Golobiča izrazil skrb nad projektom izgradnje Medicinske fakultete Univerze v Mariboru. Kangler pravi, da lahko dolgotrajni postopek izbire izvajalca gradnje resno ogrozi črpanje finančnih sredstev EU, posledično pa tudi študij splošne medicine v Sloveniji.
Prvi mož Maribora Golobiču še piše: “Sam pa ne morem mimo tega, da se ne bi vprašal, ali je “politična barva” župana tista, ki vpliva na to, da se predstavniki vlade za nekatere projekte zavzemate bolj kot za druge. In, ali bom moral menjati politično stranko, da bo medicinska fakulteta v Mariboru končno stala?”

Although no final decision has been reached, the republic is clearly moving towards accepting funds that will stabilise the Irish banking system, now inextricably connected to the state. “Substantial” was another adjective used by Mr Honohan to describe the sum of money yesterday – and who can disagree? The loans will be equal to 80 per cent of Irish GDP.’
