Južnokorejski proizvajalec elektronike Samsung Electronics je danes v skladu z napovedmi predstavil težko pričakovano pametno uro Galaxy Gear. Ta funkcije običajnih zapestnih ur nadgradi s številnimi funkcijami, ki jih premorejo pametni mobilni telefoni.
Galaxy Gear bo prodajno pot začel 25. septembra, naprodaj pa bo v več kot 140 državah po svetu, so danes v okviru mednarodnega sejma zabavne elektronike IFA v Berlinu pojasnili v Samsungu.
Omenjena napravica premore 1,63-palčen (4,1-centimetrski) zaslon s tehnologijo Super AMOLED, 800-megaherčen procesor, kamero z 1,9 megapiksla, štiri gigabajte prostora za hrambo podatkov, dva mikrofona in en zvočnik ter brezžično tehnologijo Bluetooth.
Kot pravijo v Samsungu, je Gear tehnični modni dodatek, ki je povezan z uporabnikovim mobilnikom Galaxy ter ga na ta način obvešča o prihajajočih sporočilih, klicih, e-pošti ter drugih obvestilih, pri čemer jim postreže tudi s predogledom vsebine sporočil.

Funkcija Memographer v navezi s kamero uporabnikom v gibanju ali pri fizičnih aktivnostih omogoča snemanje tako fotografij kot video posnetkov in sestavljanje albumov s pomembnimi informacijami o dogodkih, ki so se zgodili tekom dneva.

Funkcija Find My Device uporabniku pomaga najti pametno napravo takrat, ko jo je založil, saj lahko na daljavo sproži piskanje, osvetlitev zaslona in vibriranje.
Galaxy Gear omogoča tudi nadzor glasbe, predvajane na uporabnikovem mobilniku Galaxy. Tako kot klasični glasbeni predvajalniki obvlada brskanje po skladbah ter zna začasno zaustaviti predvajanje, če se pametna naprava ne nahaja v bližini.
Gear lahko z vgrajenimi senzorji deluje tudi kot pedometer in spremlja fizično aktivnost, predvsem hojo ali tek uporabnika, s pomočjo vgrajenih aplikacij pa lahko uporabniki natančno spremljajo tudi podatke, kot so poraba kalorij, prehojena razdalja itd.
