Srbski veleposlanik položil venec na grob Davorina Jenka
Srbski veleposlanik Aleksandar Radovanović je danes položil venec na grob Davorina Jenka in tako počastil spomin na skladatelja, ki je umrl novembra 1914. Veleposlanik se s polaganjem venca pridružuje vrsti aktivnosti, ki v spomin na avtorja srbske himne Bože pravde potekajo v letu, ko mineva 100 let od njegove smrti.
Skladatelj in dirigent Davorin Jenko se je rodil 9. novembra leta 1835 v Dvorjah. Povečini se je glasbeno izobraževal sam med študijem prava na Dunaju in v Pragi.
Med drugim je bil med letoma 1859 in 1862 zborovodja Slovenskega pevskega društva na Dunaju, med letoma 1865 in 1877 pa je vodil Beograjsko pevsko društvo. Med letom 1871 in 1902 je bil dirigent v Narodnem gledališču v Beogradu.
Sprva je Jenko pisal le vokalne skladbe, med njimi zborovsko izvedbo na besedilo Simona Jenka Naprej, zastava slave, pozneje pa tudi instrumentalno in scensko glasbo. Bil je med prvimi na Slovenskem, ki je pisal samospeve. Med njimi izstopajo samospevi na besedila Franceta Prešerna. (sta)
